The Executive Committe

The function of the Executive Committee is to determine policies under which the Chamber will operate. The Executive is elected from within the membership at its Annual General Meeting.

The Executive is comprised of a President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer and committee members from each of the individual chambers. The Regional Executive is formed by a combination of both Rockingham and Kwinana Chambers.

The Executive Committees meet on a monthly basis.

Operational matters are monitored by the Regional Executive and are administered by the Chambers payrolled staff members.

The Chamber constantly strives to increase membership and the range of services available to members. The Chamber canvasses members' opinions on matters of policy and represents those views.

The Chamber supports the concept of free enterprise whilst recognising the role of government and appropriate legislation to properly manage and protect the interests of the supplier and consumer equally.

The Chamber will expose and oppose legislation if it appears to be inappropriate or limiting to economic development and free enterprise.

The successful implementation requires financial and manpower support from members. It must be stressed that the Chamber is a democratic society. Therefore, members are free to comment and institute change if the change benefits all concerned.

The Chamber supports the policy of "Buy Local".

We encourage Local, State and Federal Government authorities, residents and business people to utilise local services and products.

The Chamber promotes the "Buy Local" philosophy by attempting to bring the attention of the public and the business community to the range of products and services available. This is carried out via the Print Media, Radio, Trade Fairs, Business After Hours, Sundowners, Breakfasts, word of mouth and encouragement of the use of our membership sticker and logo by members.

The services listed in this website do not include all that has been accomplished, but you should recognise that the Chamber has been active on your behalf. It must also be remembered that Chamber Executive members are volunteers.
